Uark Rome center

Workshop 1 - April 8 to 19, 2024

Objective of the workshop

The first workshop aims to develop the concept of the whole exhibition. The University of Arkansas Rome Program students design the showcasing and graphic layouts. Three young Roman architects guide the students in the development of the proposals. The design must satisfy basic requirements for an open-air, itinerant, lightweight, sustainable, and affordable exhibition to display the Italian best practices. It must be modular and suitable for being easily dismounted and reassembled more than once, following assembly and packaging instructions.ย

The primary material to be used is wood, which must be used for waterproofing for outdoor use.ย All the elements must fit specific dimensions and weights suitable for international shipping. ย ย
